10 Best New TV Shows Of 2018

Some of these were great shows. A couple I have not seen yet. Succession and Homecoming had such flat, boring, non-engaging pilots that I didn't get past them. The Homecoming Pilot I watched because of Sam Esmail. Mr. Robot is fantastic and I thought it would carry over. I probably won't be going back. Succession is a strong maybe. Maybe.

Barry is fantastic. Sharp Objects is worth your time.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch | Official Trailer | Netflix

This was styled after the Choose Your Own Adventure books. There are multiple endings and many different choices for the viewer. This is going to be very interesting.

Available on Netflix today. Just a quick thing: it 's not under Black Mirror in the library. It's under Bandersnatch.

Your Brain vs Your Eyes

Your brain working normally.

This is another example of an amazing illusion.

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color, pink. However if you stare at the black ’+ ’ in the center, the moving dot turns to green.
Now, concentrate on the black ’ + ’ in the center of the picture.
After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will see only a single green dot rotating. It’s amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don’t disappear. This should be proof enough, we don’t always see what we think we see. (source)

Merry Christmas

For all of you that don't know this is from Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). A fantastic show that has recently been revived. It's about a guy that is banished to a far away planet. He spends his time watching and making fun of bad movies with 2 robots. It's worth watching. Here is a clip if you are interested:

"You Just Don't Get It, Do You?"

A supercut of the biggest movie cliche.

Triple Frontier | Official Trailer | Netflix

Will be available on Netflix in March 2019.  Looks good. If Netflix put more of this kind of stuff out I might consider keeping it. Lately, Netflix has been disappointing. It's like they are throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks.

Hal fixing a light bulb

From Malcolm in the Middle S03E06 - Health Scare. This show was great when I was a kid. Now re-watching as an adult, I notice so much more.

Men In Black: International | Official Trailer

This looks so cliche. Every one liner thrown out is soooo overused. Hollywood is grasping. I will probably watch this when it gets to DVD.
